More for less: RockStar® ModuPlug, the modular connector, sets new standards. The connector system solves space problems by providing more functionality in a reduced installation space and thus also saves weight. The individual configuration of the different modules allows you to combine all required functions for the transmission of energy, signals and data in one interface. Another advantage is the more convenient and tool-free assembly. The sophisticated frames and module elements can be easily mounted and integrated into heavy duty connector housings with IP65 and IP68. Even existing applications can be easily supplemented with the RockStar® ModuPlug modular system without any system modifications. Custom configuration gives you more of what you need and less of what you can do without.

The brand new SNAP IN connection technology

The new SNAP IN connection technology will take your wiring processes to a whole new level. With SNAP IN, installation and maintenance work can be performed as quickly as snapping your fingers.

The new connection is as simple in principle as it is to use: the stripped conductor is inserted directly into open connection points and the snap connection snaps into place with a click.

PUSH IN connection solutions

In many industrial sectors, safe and reliable connections are essential. The PUSH IN technology saves a lot of time and guarantees maximum contact reliability, plus, it is particularly convenient to use: You take a stripped solid or fine-stranded conductor with a crimped-on ferrule, insert it into the clamping point up to the stop, and the safe and gas-tight connection is complete. Very simple and without any tools.

Fixed-pole HDC system

Go for real RockStars when choosing your connectors. Our extensive range of heavy duty connectors from Weidmüller offers the right solution for all power, signal and data transmission requirements outside the control cabinet. The heart of our RockStar® connectors are the fixed-pole inserts. No matter which interface you want to equip: the nine series in up to 12 sizes ensure reliable electrical function.

RockStar® HighPower high-current connectors

The modular system RockStar® HighPower is specially designed for reliable signal transmission in high-current applications in the field of motor power cabling, cyclone braking and carriage transfer in traffic engineering. The die-cast aluminum housing is impact resistant, corrosion resistant, and allows optimal use of space in the vehicles with low weight. The HighPower high-current connector is an innovative solution for pluggable power transmission in traffic engineering and also meets the requirements of the wind power industry.

Optimised supply interface for tunnel boring machines implemented

The customer had originally only asked for a product for the Ethernet interface. During an on-site visit, however, the Weidmüller team realized that the processes of the manufacturer of tunnel boring machines could be made much more efficient with the right connection technology. Up until that point, the company had been assembling the cables with four connectors itself. For tunnel projects of many kilometres, these retooling times quickly add up to substantial sums. After a careful analysis of the requirements, Weidmüller's proposal was to integrate the previous four connectors in a modular system into just one solution. The final product was developed, planned, and implemented together with the customer.
