WDK 2.5 DU/TR PE  – Double-Tier Terminal Block for Space Saving Terminations

Weidmuller is pleased to announce the release of the innovative WDK 2.5 DU PE TR terminal. Designed to effectively reduce the need for three terminals when signal, neutral and ground terminations are used, the WDK 2.5 DU TR/PE handles three feed-through terminations in one terminal. This is accomplished with one top and mid-level feed-through and one integrated PE contact.  The shield wire is connected to the integrated PE contact and makes additional PE terminal blocks obsolete. Effectively, one current loop can be terminated to one terminal thereby reducing space requirements by as much as 67% when compared to traditional installations. This also reduces the number of individual terminals used. Depending on the requirements and signal types, the upper level can be fitted with a disconnect lever or the pluggable fuse holder SIHA.

With only 5.1 mm of width, the new WDK 2.5 DU PE TR offers the highest wiring density among screw terminal blocks for machinery controls applications while still providing improved flexibility and functionality.

The WDK 2.5 DU/TR PE terminal features Weidmuller’s standard vibration-proof and maintenance-free “self-locking” screw clamp termination technology and is electrically rated for 600V/25A/26-12AWG to UL and CSA standards.
